Chef on board: episodes of the television format of Nautical Channel, Airs December 20th, 2015 on the “Flavors of Venice” aboard Lagunalonga, with Andi van Zyl.
Flavors of the Lagoon of Venice narrates the outstanding experience of gastronomy on navigation, in the unique body of water that’s the lagoon of Venice. We sail in the most
interesting places of the lagoon, to show unique products and their best interpretations. Our yacht becomes a telescope that frames the best culinary experts in tradition and culinary innovation in Venice, but also the agricultural landscape of the lagoon and its great food and wine resources.
Basically we bring on board both the chefs of the best restaurants Venetian lagoon, and experts of the lagoon heritage. We navigate in the center of Venice as in the remotest corners of the lagoon, going close to vineyards and vegetable gardens, fish and mussels farms,restaurants and bars. We narrate not only the experience of sailing and cooking but these wonderful landscapes and the people who animate them. We face also parallel water themes, as local water sports and water crafts.

INTRO TO PERSONALITY:
In this section Andi, accompained by Francesco, meets the protagonist of the episode, the chef or restaurant owner. This can happen at home, restaurant, public square, vegetable garden, famous monument, market, etc. It will depend on the protagonist, or by the special guest. They get to know each other, Andi learns about the history of this personality and what is so special about the way he/she cooks. If it happens in a restaurant, she can taste some of the traditional dishes there. They can go shopping together at a market, etc.
THE BOAT: Andi and the protagonist go to the boat. He/she teaches Andi how the dish is prepared. They work together to create a splendid meal on board.
SPECIAL GUEST: arrives. This special guest can be an expert on Venetian wildlife, history, food, wine, or culture. He or she is an interesting and important personality to the life of the region. He or she must speak English. Andi, the protagonist, the special guest and Francesco dine together onboard while talking about the culture of the region and how the food connects to the land, why the dishes are prepared the way they are with these specific ingredients.

walking/boat tour to Scuola Grande San Rocco, with the councilor Laura Picchio Forlati, towards Giudecca Zitelle urban vegetable garden and wineyard, with Michele Savorgnano, then lunch aboard with chef Dimitri Gris, sailing to Vignole and Arsenale, where we will be accompained by few venetian wooden sailing boats, with Giorgio Righetti, eventual visit to the Porta Nuova tower and the Bucintoro galley replica building site
Wednesday 14: Venezia – Zattere – South Lagoon
walking/boat tour to Piazza San Marco and visit to the CoE office with the director Luisella Pavan-Wolfe, to the Squero (gondola ship building) and the Cantinon (wine shop) at San Trovaso, till Riviera Restaurant, with the owner GP Cremonini, lunch aboard our yacht, sailing on the south lagoon, also aboard of the Playtime catamaran
Thursday 15: Venezia – Rialto – Cannaregio – North Laguna
visit to Palazzo Grassi – Punta Della Dogana with Alix Doran, Francois Pinault Fondation, then rowing tour to the Rialto fish market, and visit to the Torrefazione Cannaregio, with the owner Maela Galli, lunch aboard our yacht, sailing to Murano, and visit to LU glass factory Saturday 17 october 2015: Lagunalonga reception at Marina Santelena
